I’ve always felt something deep in my heart when I hear stories of India's freedom struggle. It’s not just history—it’s sacrifice, pain, pride, and courage. This blog is not meant to be perfect, but it’s my honest tribute to the brave men and women who gave everything so we could breathe in a free nation.
We all know Bhagat Singh, but do we really *know* what he stood for? He wasn't just someone who threw a bomb in the assembly. He was deeply thoughtful, sharp-minded, and believed in changing the mindset of an entire nation. And at just 23, he gave his life—for us. That’s not something I can forget easily.
From the stories I’ve grown up hearing, Rani Lakshmibai always stood out. A queen who fought on horseback with her child tied to her back? That image gives me goosebumps even today. Her bravery during the 1857 revolt wasn’t just symbolic—it shook the British Empire.
Netaji didn’t wait for freedom to come by negotiations. He created the Indian National Army (INA) and fought with everything he had. “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom” isn’t just a quote—it’s a challenge he took on, and many followed him with full faith.
I remember reading about Mangal Pandey and thinking—he stood alone, without any army or strategy, just raw courage. That one act in 1857 pushed thousands to rise up. He was hanged, yes, but his spark turned into fire across India.
